How to unclog Paint Spray Cans – both types

How to unclog Paint Spray Cans – both types.
Well first, if you shake the spray paint can thoroughly for at least 5 minutes, you likely will have no problem with the paint clogging the spray can. But if you do have a clog in the paint spray can, I found the fastest and simplest way to unclog the spray paint can is to use compressed air. Most cans are filled to 90 psi to 105 psi at 70 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit when new. So I use about 100 psi to unclog the feed tube inside the can. I’ll use an old tire valve and push it on the top of the paint can tight and use compressed air at no more than 100 psi and that will push the clog back inside the spray can. Then shake the can up very well to break up any clumped paint inside the can and you should be good to go.
