This is a custom fit for 2008 to 2012 Ford Escape with the factory side rails removed, factory rivnuts must be sealed. This complete multi-purpose base roof rack on tracks is the ultimate in adjustability and load capacity for this vehicle.
The weight capacity of this base roof rack is up to 220 pounds evenly distributed. Crossbar spacing is variable along the tracks with a maximum spacing of 45.5 inches from front to rear, center to center. The entire roof rack is easily removable by sliding the RLT600 track base off the end of the tracks.
The Rhino-Rack RT12V tracks are a permanent installation requiring drilling into the sheet metal and riveting the tracks in place. The RTV128 tracks are extruded aluminum with a tough anodized black finish. Track end caps, rivets, and butyl mastic patches are included for a watertight, professional installation.
The Rhino-Rack RLT600 Quick Release Leg is an attachment that offers both security with included locks, and the ability to remove the legs and crossbars from the track bases within seconds. Snap-on track base covers are included to keep debris out and provide a nice look when the bars and legs are removed. Special hollow point hex fasteners are included to provide a theft deterrent for the bases.
The Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero load bars are strong, box beam extruded aluminum with a durable anodized black finish. The bars feature a rubber vortex generating strip (VGS) which reduces wind noise. The t-slotted channel under the rubber strips accommodates certain compatible accessories. This attachment method maximises the usable crossbar length.
