Learn how to shrink a mold to reduce the size of an already existing original. Through a simple mold making technique you can shrink a mold by nearly 25 percent without re sculpting a smaller original. Visit www.alumilite.com for additional product information.
This is a torso cast done with Accucast 880 and our Extra Fast Set bandages. We used this alginate mold to create a wax positive which was resculpted into a piece that looked like it was bolted together iron and steel. We finished the resin cast with Sculpt Nouveau’s Iron B. See our rust video for more info on that process. Our DVD Lifecasting 101 is a good resource for complete lifecasting instructions.
