The above demonstration of spray silicones was done on CRC brand spray silicone, but covers many spray silicones. The solvents and propellants may be surprisingly strong solvents, making them unsuitable for use on or around plastics and rubbers. Additionally, in the case of this specific brand, the actual quantity of lubricant contained is minuscule as the gross majority of this “silicone” is in fact not silicone.
