Experiment #189: Hot Glue
(Rated G) This is an item that’s been requested by some, but for some reason, nobody has attempted it until now. It wasn’t the best experiment but it wasn’t all that boring, either. I did have to manually move the camera to get the best view, though. I microwaved five hot glue sticks at once to guarantee something good happened. I was expecting the glue sticks to melt a little more than they did, but towards the end they did glow in the middle, implying that had I added more time, I would have been treated to a nice flare-up or perhaps some plasma. What resulted was that the glue sticks held their shape until they were moved, not unlike the chocolate bars I did way back in season one, they looked unchanged until I actually moved them. In the end, however, this was declared a bad idea since it really served no practical purpose except for entertainment. Although it probably wasn’t a bad idea….
Intermission is a clip of an ocarina demonstration played by YouTube user omashanti, who has given me his full permission and consent to use the video footage I filmed of him in my YouTube videos. This is also footage of what will be another episode of Scenes From Life, only the full thing is a good six or seven minutes long! Season 5 of Microwave me is filmed with a high-tech state of the art digital camcorder and stars host and producer Matthew Villani as Captain Microwave and for this episode, a Proctor-Silex microwave named Lindsay.
