In this DIY video is a description on how to prevent current and future air leaks along the bead of the tire/rim interface. The video explains how to find and correct common problems for tires that just seem to want to keep leaking. The first try at reseating the bead resulted in some very minor air leakage… not acceptable of course. We broke down the bead a 2nd time using the method shown in my other video “DIY Breaking Stubborn tire bead off a rim using a 4,000LB press”, then used sand paper along the bead to clean up the rim and that still leaked. After breaking down the bead for the 3rd time we used “bead sealer” which took care of 90% of remaining leaks. Finally, whacking the tire with a hammer all along the rim fixed 100% of the leakage.
Take your time and be safe
