Stockwell Elastomerics’ T62 coating for silicone sponge and silicone foam addresses ESD concerns with regards to tribocharging of the rubber sheet. Stockwell Elastomerics’ propriety T62 coating can be applied to surface of silicone sponge or silicone foam to prevent the buildup of electrostatic. T62 coating provides low level electrical conductivity that can be used to ground the material for ESD protection.
T62 is a high temperature surface treatment that matches the temperature properties of the silicone rubber. Soft, T62 coated silicone sponge is often used with PCB thermal testing units and other IC handling operations.
