This is a tutorial on how I made a reproduction spin on hubcap for an American Austin automobile using RTV silicone and casting resin. If you don’t have a set of real good hubcaps, this is an alternative. This process can be used for any 1930′s or earlier automobile. As time goes by, parts are harder to come by. You can also use this process for making shift knobs, choke and radio knobs, etc.
